Yes Cindy, You Said That Outloud

I recently got to spend some time with some wonderful women down in Texas. (Of course they are wonderful.) (They are in Texas.) I was asked by a dear friend to come speak to the women at her church.  I jumped at the chance because I love her and I enjoy helping women. I shared my story with them and talked about turning our losses into contribution.  You know, the Pay It Forward method which is absolutely biblical.
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
I pray they were encouraged to push through their pain.  I pray they remember just how much God loves them and pursues them.  I pray that they forget what I said during Q&A when I was discussing the birds and the bees. Ahem. Yes, yes I did say that outloud.

  1. Now, I don’t care who you are…but that was funny! And sorry, it won’t be forgotten any time soon…but neither will all of the “God stuff” either. Chuckling even now…

  2. Um. Yeah. I am teaching True Love Waits this season. It’s…touchy. We have a promiscuous 16 year old and then a 13 year old who is offended because the 7th grade boys yell ‘penis’ A LOT at lunch. It would be funny if it wasn’t so poignant. And then, last week. I did it. I used the “H” word. You know. The one that means ‘aroused,’ because ‘aroused’ wasn’t cutting it and they didn’t know for sure what it meant. Oh, yes I did. At church. Oh, my.
