We’re In!

This past week has been a whirlwind of excitement for our family. Just under a year ago, we decided to start the process of building a home. Many of you have walked that road and know that it can be stressful. While there were plenty of issues to deal with, such as a 12-week delay on pouring the foundation during the summer due to our torrential rains, we are still happily married and rarely even disagreed while building the house. I know you’re flabbergasted at that point alone. For those of you who really know me, you know I’m not picky. While I do have my grocery list on an Excel spreadsheet (a whole nother blog entry in and of itself) and am highly organized, I don’t care about a lot of things that most do when they build a home. I’ve had Formica counter tops in every house I’ve ever lived in so the fact that I have granite in my kitchen now is clearly one of the nicest things that this little Texas girl could ever dream of. It could be purple for all I care. It’s granite, FOR CRYIN’ OUT LOUD! I’m truly thankful. If you live in town, I’m sure we’ll be havin’ some get togethers at the house…you know, to celebrate the 2nd Tuesday of every month or some day in March because there aren’t any holidays for the state agencies and banks to close or everyone’s half birthday or to celebrate the children going back to school come August. (Can I get an amen?) Basically any chance to have people out in the country to our place is what I’m gettin’ at. I’m just sayin’. Just wanted to share some Beall goodness today.

  1. Very exciting…now don’t I remember something about a pool at your new house? That’s what I’m talking about! Swim Party!

  2. Hey girl…I love your new house…it is absolutely beautiful. Are you taking time to rest and breathe it all in. I know you are wanting to get the other house all cleaned, get into this one and get everything in place, be a mom, love your husband, cook meals, and the list goes on. However, moving is one of the most stressful things that a person can do…it disrupts everything. You have only been in the other house for five months…so just try and breathe a little. Laugh with the kids, dance with that beautiful man of yours, and smoke something on that beautiful new porch of yours. Oh yeah..you should also try and spend some time with Jesus during this crazy season.
