The Hair Ministry

I often write about getting my hair done on The Twitter. (Or as I like to say…”I got my hair did”). I decided to take some pictures along the way so you can see just what I go through to become blonde.  And no, I am not embracing my gray.  But, you are seeing me without makeup on. Beware. Pic 1 Pic 2 Pic 3 Pic 4 Pic 6 Pic 7 Pic 8 Does anyone else go to this much trouble?

  1. one of my favorite times of the month or (every 6wks) is to get my hair done. my salon is quiet so for 2 hours I chat with my sweet stylist and then I read. Read in a comfy chair and be quiet. Then I walk away after someone else has spent time on me, helping me, creating a cute new look for me! yep, good stuff at that place. good for the soul.

  2. So beautiful!!! Just this morning, I was considering coloring my hair… for fun.

I saw your “hide my roots” on twitter and immediately thought of a speech coach–you know, like for actors needing to learn accents, only to learn how to HIDE your accent.

  3. It’s a love/hate relationship for me…. Hate thinking of all the productive things I could/should be doing, BUT love the end result. Kinda like when the Lord reaches in to reshape or remold a part of you. Don’t always enjoy the process but the end result? Unspeakable joy 🙂

  4. I get my hair permed (and have since my freshman year of college). It suits me MUCH better then the wavy, horse like hair I had. I go 1-2 times a year to get it done and I sit there for a good 4 hours. Longest day of the year to me.

  5. Ab-so-LUTE-ly!! (Plus the added benefit of hanging with my daughter who actually is the best hair stylist around!)

You know me…I’m all about embracing circumstances….except when it comes to getting old. Then, it’s denial all the way!! Worked for me pretty well, so far….most days 😉

    Happy birthday week!!!

  6. Absolutely–it’s fun to change things up! Plus, my sister is the hairdresser, so uninterrupted time with her to chew to fat is something we relish in 😉

  7. Yes, yes, yes! And, my gray has increased dramatically after my baby girl was born. Ugh! I actually took pictures last time I got my hair done but never got around to blogging them.
