I feel like the best is yet to come. Don’t get me wrong or anything, I have loved my life. I’ve enjoyed my 40 years…the good, the sweet, the precious, the amazing and the ugly. The good times are self-explanatory. Who doesn’t love themselves some sweet baby smells or romantic spur-of-the-moment dinners or fabulous vacations to the beach? I know I do. The bad times, the times where your faith is tested beyond what you think you can bear, the times where you are certain you can endure no more are equally worth it. Because that’s where the rubber meets the road. It’s where you find out what you are made of. It’s where you grow. My advice for you now as an “older” woman? Embrace and enjoy the good times. Don’t feel guilty when times seem easy. Run all the way to the bank with it! And push through the hard times. Don’t wish away your days when things don’t go your way. Always bring a teachable spirit to those difficult seasons. Grow where you’re planted.
