New Song for KLOVE

Please pardon this interruption from the current series of posts I’m doing about Chris’ and my story. I couldn’t resist posting this. My precious Seth Joseph (or Sether Joe, as he is affectionately called by many) is supposed to be taking a nap right now. He’s not. He’s singing and I’m dictating to you word for word the lyrics of his new song: Jesus is in my heart. Jesus is in my heart. Jesus is in my heart. Jesus is in my heart. Jesus is in my heart. Jesus is in my heart. That’s my favorite song in this whole world. Jesus is in my heart. Jesus is in my heart. Jesus is in my heart. Jesus is in my heart. Jesus is in my heart. Jesus is in my heart. I couldn’t have sung (or said) it better myself.

  1. That’s sweet!!
I love Sethers! He is one of those kids that can really teach you a lot, if you pay attention.

  2. I remembered when my son sang his first worship song. I had a mixtape (3 CDs long) playing in the car and he starts singing, word for word, with Gateway Worship’s “You, You Are God”.

I almost had a wreck because I jerked back to look at him just to confirm he was indeed singing.

I asked him, “How do you know that song?”. His response, “because I do.”

I told him, “You know we sing that in big church. Do you sing that in the Jungle Room?” No, they did not. “Ask your teachers if you guys can sing that. I am sure they will get a kick out of that.”

My son has taught me so much it is unreal. From the day we are born, we all have a purpose. It doesn’t start until we get older. It starts the very minute we are alive.

  3. I have enjoyed reading your recent posts so much. I came by way of Robin’s site. I have an almost 11 year old Seth and we have always called him Sether for a nickname. I named him after a little boy I taught which was one of the most precious children ever. I knew the name was a good one, and I can tell your little one is going to bless you even more in the years to come.
