My Favorite Food

breakfast_cereal.jpg

Cereal. All kinds, really. Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Apple Cinnamon Cherrios. Special K with Strawberries. Cap’n Crunch Berries. Cascadian Farms Oat & Honey Goodness. Fruity Pebbles. Oh, sweet Lord. Love ’em. And the reason I love cereal is because it’s like eatin’ and drinkin’ at the same time. I’m just sayin’. What’s your favorite cereal? Come on. Let me hear from you, Singapore, South Africa, Philippines, and Malaysia. Talk to me, Israel, Kazakhstan, Germany and Trinidad. I know you are out there 🙂

  1. I recently bought Honey Bunches of Oats with almonds and between my husband and I it was gone in a day. I love cereal. Anytime of the day.

  2. Hi Cindy!! I love Honey Bunches of Oats with Almonds!!! And Fruity Pebbles if I’m feelin rebellious!! But I have to eat it fast because I can’t stand soggy cereal!

  3. I’m a huge Lucky Charms fan – but it never seems to quite make it to the milk….always pickin out the marshmallows before it even resorts to a breakfast food. Cheerios of any kind are a close 2nd…..

  4. Kashi Go Lean… I seriously love this hippie cereal! Lucky Charms takes me back to childhood… those tiny marshmallows are YUM!

  5. Mmmmm, I love cereal, too. It’s a good late night snack. My favs ~ plain Cheerios (sometimes with honey and bananas), Kashi Go Lean, Kashi Autumn Wheat and Kashi Cinnamon Harvest.

  6. Right now I’m on a Honey Nut Cheerios kick. Last summer it was Special K with strawberries until I noticed my son was picking out all the strawberries and leaving me the Special K – hey! it’s the strawberries that made them special. 🙂

  7. Life when I want to be “good”, Cinnamon Toast Crunch is my middle of the road “I don’t care if I’m ‘good’, but it’s not that ‘bad’, and if I’m feeling really sugary, Peanut Butter Captain Crunch. 🙂

  8. apple jacks are by far my favorite then there’s fruit loops, fruity pebbles, frosted flakes and frosted mini wheats yum yum.. ok now you’ve made me hungry!

  9. I can’t pick just one – I love them too!! 🙂 Lucky Charms, Frosted Flakes, Raisin Bran, frosted mini wheats . . . um um good!

  10. I’m with Julie! Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Peanut Butter Cap’n Crunch! OOH, and Frosted Mini Wheats! Mmm.

Cereal got me through lots of bad meals in the college dining hall.

Also, Lucky Charms + vanilla soft serve = Heaven on Earth

  11. I love cereal too. Recently, through sales and coupons, I was able to get 11 boxes for $6.25! But how boring is this ~ I love shredded wheat with sugar sprinkled over it! It reminds me of my Grandma’s house. 🙂

  12. I like to mix cereal…ever since I was knee-high to an ant…I mix it up…3 cereals in one–it’s fabulous.
I really like Kashi, but it’s kinda an acquired taste…love Multi Grain and Honey Nut cheerios…cocoa puffs and Honey comb (Nat–the old flavor is BACK! 🙂 )

  13. I love Raf’s comment! Anyway, I love Multigrain Cheerios! Got to love cereal for that odd night when the hubby is working and you don’t want to cook. My kids think its awesome when they get cereal for dinner.

  14. I like cereal in the form of Chex Mix. Homemade, not the pre-bagged stuff. Could eat it by the truckload!

Other than that, it’s Lucky Charms!

  15. yes, this is marcy from Trinidad. It’s great over here in Trinidad. but we don’t eat sugar-cereals because our moms won’t let us have them. they are bad for us. therefore, I like organic granola. alot.

    TRINIDAD LOVES CINDY BEALL!!

  16. I have been on a cereal kick lately! My “good” cereal love right now is Kellogg’s Heart Smart in Maple Brown Sugar. But I also love me some Cracklin’ Oat Bran…and….well, Golden Grahams, if we’re being honest. 🙂

  17. wow. I haven’t had trix in a really really long time. I might need to correct that. I usually reserve sugary cereals for vacation… peanut butter captain crunch, and fruity pebbles… after this last vacation my husband decided that peanut butter capt crunch needs to be in rotation more than twice a year!

  18. I thought you were joking about asking about cereal, no one would come after me if I asked about cereal. LOL

Hands down Fruity Pebbles are the best; however every once and a while I can do some Smacks, isn’t that the cereal with the little singing bear?

  19. mmm… cereal! My family could live on cereal! Our favorites are fruit loops, lucky charms, Berry Captain Crunch (YUM!), and cocoa puffs! Great question… I love the crunch of the cereal with the ice cold milk.. score!

  20. Helloooooo friend!! Its been a long time since we have talked but I have to say I am very impressed with your blog. It sounds like you are doing wonderful. 21. this cracks me up…
guess i will join in late.

when I was in college, my cereal bowl was the size that your mom would serve things in on a holiday – like the mashed potatoe bowl. I like the carbs!

I LOVE Rice Krispies – Chocolate, Golden Grahams, frosted flakes, but UG to that fruity stuff with milk – that is like drinking milk and orange juice mixed.

Cindy, you are a funny girl! I pray that you will impact MILLIONS for Christ!

  22. Love many cereals but never eat it… ever… not sure why really? I don’t think I like to eat and drink at the same time… I thought that was a funny line!

I like your blog by the way…

  23. I love to get the variety packs and mix them all up! But I have to give it up for Special K and Captain Crunch Berries.

  24. So, I am catching up on my blog reading after being out of the loop last week.

My new favorite is a bag cereal that is like coco-roos with the marshmallows from lucky charms…heavenly!!
