Chris: Baby, do you know how much I love you? Me: No, I don’t think so. Why don’t you tell me. Chris: 28 steps worth Me: 28 steps? Chris: Yep. It’s 14 steps from the guest bath to our bathroom. And since you want to keep the guest bath clean, I go the extra 14 steps there and 14 steps back because I love you. Me: Mmmm. Thank you, honey. He sure knows how to pour it on thick, doesn’t he?

  1. this is one of my favorite posts yet~~ I love seeing how the “good” in a marriage works on a daily basis! Enjoy

  2. “It’s 14 steps from the guest bath to our bathroom. And since you want to keep the guest bath clean, I go the extra 14 steps there and 14 steps back because I love you”

I’m confused…(elementary math here I come!). It should be more than 28 steps? Hubby uses both bathrooms?

I hate IQ tests that have questions like this…makes my head spin!!

  3. Yonas, I am going to show you some grace and not make fun of you because you were born in another country πŸ™‚

He went 28 EXTRA steps for me. He could have just stopped off at the guest bathroom, which is closer to the living room, but he didn’t. He went above and beyond to declare his undying love for me by going an extra 14 steps to our master bathroom and then walking the extra 14 steps back.

    Get it?

  4. Oh is that why everybody is so nice to me because I was born in another country LOL (not really..but that’s a whole ‘nother topic haha)

The irony is that stereotypically my ‘kind’ of people supposed to be good at math! πŸ™‚

Ah…..now that you rephrased it…so geographically he could’ve gone only 12 or 10 (or less) steps to go from the living room to the guest bath but he didn’t.

I think I get it now!!!

Phew now I can sleep well tonight.

  5. I’ve started using an expression around my house (and sometimes around others places), when my son says, “Love you,” sometimes I just have to be honest and say, “I love you too, but sometimes I wish you’d show me instead of telling me.” Sounds like Chris is doing both. Good on you both.

  6. That’s hilarious! Sorry I definitely used the guest bath and I’m pretty sure it’s be more than 28 steps for me, my legs are a tad bit shorter than Mr. Bealls!

  7. How cute! Jerome told me a few nights that he was so tired but that my beauty was pinning his eyelids back…LOL!
