I Wish I Could Wear These

But, I can’t, y’all. I’m less than two inches from the six foot line and that’s when I’m barefoot. These suckers would surely send me to the 6 foot two, maybe two and a half line. Yes, yes, I’m secure in my height. I’ve been this tall since I was 13. So I am quite used to it. It’s just that, when I wear shoes with heels, I can’t hear conversations. So, I’m stuck with shoes like this:

  1. I feel your pain. Myself I am 5’11”. If I were to wear shoe #1 I’d feel like amazon woman towering over the little people. And those are so very cute shoes….sigh πŸ™‚

  2. I understand! Mine comes though in wearing flatter tennis shoes rather than ones that make me two inches taller πŸ™‚

  3. I LIKE those cute white flip-flops…and they’ll be cute with those capris and form-fitting tops you’ll wear this summer ; ).

And just think….you COULD be 5’2″ and always looking up!(like me!)

  4. Flat shoe-d women can run faster. And that’s important if you’re ever being chased by a dog, running in the rain or feel like you’re going to throw up in the middle of a store. oh sorry.

(Can I get some coffee over here?)

  5. I am also 5′ 10″. I used to wear shoes if I liked them, not really caring if they were heels or not. When I met my husband, I started to care more. When he is standing up straight and we are both barefoot, we are them same height. Put any kind of shoe on me and for some reason, I’m instantly taller than him, no matter what kind of shoe or boot he’s wearing. πŸ™‚ I had this “plan” not to marry anyone shorter than me…I think God has a humorous side! πŸ™‚

  6. A three incher is the smallest heal I wear when I wear heels. I prefer four. Five feet 6 is nice. The view is different. It’s nice to reach things I can’t in my slippers or flats. There was always one advantage to growing up “little”: no boy was too short for me. πŸ™‚

  7. I feel your pain. But God did bless me with a tall, dark and handsome husband so I can wear the first shoes… as long as he is around! But being this pregnant (28 wks) I just look like I’m about to fall over. πŸ™‚

  8. “…when I wear shoes with heels, I can’t hear conversations”

That was a great way to start my morning!

    thank you!!!

    And those heels are slammin’!!!

  9. wow, i had no idea you were so tall. did you know that i am barely 5ft tall? you’ll be sure to notice THAT when we meet later this month. we’re meeting later this month, woohoo!!!!

  10. The grass is always greener… I’m 5 feet tall on the button and HAVE to wear heels to hear conversations! πŸ™‚ And shoot, I say if you want to wear them, wear them! God made you tall on purpose.

  11. At 5 6 I’m perfect !!! Heels are for sissy’s πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚
I love being in flats because I’m barefooted as soon as I walk in the door of my own house, so in flats they feel the same. I’m really digging clogs right now. They’re hip in San Diego. The white ones above are standard issue around here all year round. πŸ™‚
    but really:

To me being comfortable is being me.

  12. I’m 5’4 and LOVE me some flip flops! the only heels I wear are 3 inches or under there is no way I could do any higher oh ya maybe if all I had to do was sit..

  13. Ok, Kim’s funny. I said the same thing about you on her blog today. I’m so glad I have funny friends or I’d be left to just laugh at myself.

    I like heels.

  14. For this 6’5 man with a few ladyfriends over 5’10, nothing makes me feel more at home and more welcomed is when they decide to wear heels.

  15. Cindy, you are the coolest. thank you so much for the CD promotion.

and by the way…if i had your long legs….oh what a day that would be.

and who are you, Nicole Kidman??? that girl wouldn’t wear heels either while she was married to Tom πŸ™‚ i say if you got the legs and the height, flaunt it….in tribute to all the short people who look *up* to you…..:)

in short: WEAR THE HEELS, especially the ones you bought in Round Rock in the fall. I would not lie. Those puppies were KICKIN.

    remember, heels are slimming.
(and that sold it right there.)

  16. i’d probably only come up to your armpit even if i were wearing those shoes.

i’m vertically challenged and i don’t like wearing heels, so i’m stuck at low altitude.

  17. I could wear those and not even reach your collar bone. Very cute though. And I say, who cares? Wear them anyway? It’s not like Chris is short or anything. =)

  18. I have a friend who is 6 feet even and a sister-n-law who is 5’9…I hear similar things from them. Who cares how tall you are? Wear the heals…be a super model!! OWN IT!

From all of us out here who WISH we were 5’6 or 5’8 (I wouldn’t be chubby if I was 5’6!!)…just wear the heals! πŸ˜€

I LOVE high heals and platform heels…my feet are tiny (5 1/2 ) so I can’t wear some of the high-heels because I would be standing on my tippy toes.

  19. I have the exact opposite problem. If I don’t wear heels every day of my life I feel like a little kid. I’m actually 5’4″ but it’s like my confidence goes out the window when I’m not wearing heals. Shallow… I know…
