Firmly Planted In Mid Air

I’m glad I don’t know the future. Just like I’m glad I don’t know when I’ll depart from this earth or what’s going to happen next week or next year. I am completely confident in my God who literally holds the entire world in His very capable hands.  That includes my world. So, while I don’t know what I’ll be doing this time next year or what the path ahead of me looks like, I am absolutely secure in the sovereignty of my Lord. I guess you could say I’m firmly planted in mid air. (Thanks, Jimmy K.) And it’s never felt better.
I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.  Jeremiah 29:11 (MSG)
