He Wrote “I Love You” And Left It On My Steering Wheel

Right where I’d see it the moment I got in my Honda Pilot that morning. Three simple little words is all they are but let me tell you the impact those five vowels and three consonants made.  Despite the cold and/or sinus infection that was trying to make it’s home in my body, I flew high all day.  My husband’s love note to me was a stimulant like no other. He loves me. And he took  the time to write it down. For me. Because he loves me. When was the last time you wrote a love note to your spouse? Friend, if you don’t know, then it’s been too long.

  1. I love this. The simple act of post-it noting it on your steering wheel. 3 words. 3 simple words. 3 simple words that leave such an impact on us, and can elevate our mood from 0 to 100 before we finish reading them. Awesome.

  2. Such simple words but it means the world to a person….so why don’t we use them more often? I Love You is one of the last things I tell my hubby when he is leaving me – whether for work, hunting, etc. and that’s verbal. My actions I think are more where he ‘sees’ my love – baking a batch of cookies and having them on the counter for when he gets home from work, having his clothes laid out and ready for when he takes his shower, getting the grass cut before he gets home from work. Simple words but Simple things that say ‘I Love You’ and Cindy, I am so thankful that I stumbled upon your website – you are inspiring me to start writing my thoughts – not expecting others to read but it’s for me! Love you, girl.
