I hope to meet Pete one day. Actually, I really hope to meet his wife, Brandi. (Sorry, Pete.) A lot of things in life don’t happen the way we expect. Not only that, but we think (hope) God is supposed to do a certain thing and when He doesn’t, we often feel let down. (Which I think is a rather self-centered approach to life.) (But that’s an entirely different blog post.) I haven’t finished the entire book simply because I’m writing my own and have a November 15 deadline to meet. But, I have read a lot of it. Pete shares Biblical stories to help us grasp this concept of Plan B. He also talks about his personal experiences which help the reader understand that just because he’s writing about this concept doesn’t mean that his life is altogether neat. (How can it be altogether neat when you have three little boys living in your house? Amen, Brandi?) You may be in a great season in your life right now and those ducks of yours may be in a row. Good for you. But, life is messy and there will come a time when you have to figure out how to navigate the why didn’t God show up the way I thought he would waters one day. This book will help you do just that. To get Pete’s book, go here: Plan B.
