Truth Vs. Lie – Part 3

Lie: God can never use me. Truth: I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. (John 15:5) Faith Statement: God doesn’t call the qualified, He qualifies the called. Lie: I have no family. Truth: Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God. (John 1:12) Faith Statement: I am a child of God! Lie: My mind will never be whole. Truth: For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ. (1 Cor. 2:16) Faith Statement: I have the mind of Christ! Lie: I’m full of fear. Truth: For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self‑discipline. (2 Tim. 1:7) Faith Statement: With the Lord on my side, what do I have to fear? Lie: It doesn’t matter what I do to my body. Truth: Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body. (1 Cor. 6:19-20) Faith Statement: My life is not my own!

Truth Vs. Lie – Part 2

Lie: I’ll never be able to trust him again. Truth: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will makes your paths straight. (Prov. 3:5-6) Faith Statement: God is the only One who will never let me down! Lie: I’m too young to know any better. Truth: Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. (1 Tim. 4:12) Faith Statement: God has given me wisdom beyond my years! Lie: I’ll never stop hurting. Truth: Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. (James 5:16) Faith Statement: I am healed by God through the body of Christ. Lie: She’ll never change. Truth: Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! (2 Cor. 5:17) Faith Statement: I will never be the same again because of Christ! Lie: I hate it when God puts temptation in my path! Truth: When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. (James 1:13-14) Faith Statement: I will honor the Lord at all times especially when no one is looking.

Truth Vs. Lie – Part 1

Lie: I will never be able to break this habit. Truth: So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. (Galatians 5:16) Faith Statement: Feed the Spirit and the flesh will starve. Lie: God will never forgive me for what I’ve done. Truth: If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9) Faith Statement: I am fully forgiven. Lie: I can’t do anything right. Truth: I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. (Philippians 4:13) Faith Statement: I’ll do my part and leave the rest to God. Lie: I’ll never be smart enough. Truth: If any of you lacks wisdom he should ask God who gives generously to all without finding fault and it will be given to him. (James 1:5) Faith Statement: God, give me wisdom beyond my years. Lie: God doesn’t really love me or He wouldn’t let bad things happen to me. Truth: “For I know the plans I have for you”, declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11) Faith Statement: God has my best interest at heart.
