Radiant Conference 2015

RC15 I am so totally pumped for the Radiant Conference this weekend. It starts Thursday night, February 26th and ends Saturday afternoon, February 28th. I get to hear some of the best speakers there are on the Christian stage these days. THE ABSOLUTE BEST! Oh, and I get to speak, too. Ha! I’m excited but truly, more excited to just be there as an attender. Did I mention it’s in my hometown as well? Indeed it is.

Attention Pastor’s Wives!

Georgia On My Mind

I had such an amazing time in Georgia this weekend. I can TOTALLY see why those Georgia folk love their state. First of all, it’s beautiful. Not to mention the people and their hospitable selves. Did I say how beautiful it was? My friend, Kim Heinecke, traveled with me and spoke to the women on Saturday. She’s a jewel and stole their hearts for sure. And she’s an outstanding Bible teacher. I really love her and appreciate that she pushed me in the Atlanta airport all the way to baggage claim while I was in a clunker of a wheelchair. And no, we didn’t take the train. Please don’t ask. Not our best traveling moment. I did tip her $5 though.  I love the things God did while we were there. One of those was a young woman who came from two hours away after finding out about our being there just three days before. “You are here for me, I’m certain,” she said.  Another woman lived nearby and heard I’d be in the area through my website. She shared her story in tears to me and said that God gave her such hope through my story. I am honored to have been invited to also speak Sunday morning to the congregation at Eagles Way even with crutches while sitting in a director’s chair. It was my first “pulpit” on a Sunday morning…an honor I took very seriously. Thank you, Pastor Buren, for that.  God is good and I’m excited to speak again in February. Until then, I’ll be getting the leg healed up so that I can walk again!
