I received an email several weeks back that had this line in it:

We would like to send you a contract for this book, Cindy!

There were other things written in the email, but this was the most important sentence by far.

As I mentioned in a video yesterday, I am officially an author with Harvest House Publishers.  They have published books by authors like Stormie Omartian, Neil T. Anderson, Kay Arthur, Josh McDowell.  You know, just those guys.

(Feel free to shout or jump up and down.)

(Or both.)

It has been a dream of mine for years now to publish my book.  So, last November, I took the plunge (again) and pitched it to a couple of publishers.  One didn’t respond.

One did.

You can imagine my excitement the day I got an email from Carolyn at Harvest House asking if we could visit on the phone.  In fact, I was downright overwhelmed and moved to a lot of tears when I read her email.  Not just because this is a dream of mine or because I believed this was God’s plan for our story, but also because the email came on the 8th anniversary of Chris’ confession to me.

Talk about redemption.

Is our God sweet or what?

I’ll be writing my little booty off for the next several months.  The release date of my book is scheduled for late summer/early fall of 2011.

I’ll be a published author at the ripe old age of 40.

*sigh*

I’m not the least bit surprised! Congrats to you! This is such an incredible blessing, and it couldn’t happen to a more deserving person!! God has an amazing way of turning adversity into awesomeness, doesn’t He!

I’d love to add a little blurb about your upcoming book to the short bio I’ll be including on your guest posts this month! Is that okay? How would you like it to read? The bio information itself, I took from your About page.
