Thanksgiving.  Definitely Thanksgiving.

We always go down to Texas to spend the week with our families which is so much fun.  We get to see our parents, our siblings and lots of nieces and nephews.  We get to enjoy tasty food and take the boys to some fun places.

I guess what I love about Thanksgiving is that it’s not about gifts.  It’s just a day to spend with family and friends and offer a heart of gratitude to God for all He has given us.

I know we live in a country that doesn’t always encourage gratitude.  So, I want to encourage you to not only spend the 4th Thursday in November being grateful but learn to incorporate it in your everyday life.

Trust me, it’s an amazing antidote to pity and self-centeredness.

What’s your favorite holiday?

If Thanksgiving were on July 4th that would be about perfect.

I have to agree with @Theresa. Easter is very special to me. However, combine Christmas & Easter and it would be superb!

I love the 4th of July. It’s in the summer and I’m obsessed with fireworks !

Thanksgiving. Mostly because everyone is together. Its all about family and saying THANK YOU!!

I think there is something so special about every holiday. However, I agree with you about Thanksgiving. Family food and no pressure in regard to gifts. If I could just decorate for Thanksgiving like I get to for Christmas, it’d be a slam dunk.

Of course, since I plan on spending our Thanksgivings with the Bealls as soon as our kids grow up, realize the they love each other in the Lord, and get married, I am going to go with Thanksgiving. =)
